Hey guys,
I placed an SAT score report order on 10/18/2015, and the order is still pending. Will my scores arrive in time for EA? Once the scores are marked as “Sent”, does that mean that UMich has them/I qualify for EA? Or do they also need time to ship? I’m not sure because they are sent electronically, so I don’t know if sent means they arrive instantly.
Should I send in a rush report for my electronic scores this week, or will my original order from 10/18/15 arrive? If I do a rush report, which should take 2 days, will my scores technically arrive in 2-3 days and qualify me for EA?
I also took the SAT again on 10/3/15, and scheduled for Mich to receive my scores, but I know they say these will not arrive in time.
Thanks for your time.
Don’t worry, your 10/18 order should be fine. As long as you have previous score to complete the EA requirement, your October test result may arrive before application review and will be considered.
I was worried about this also. My daughter ordered scores to be sent to Michigan on 10/16 and it still says “Pending” today. (She ordered the scores to be sent to three other schools on 10/15 and they were marked “Sent.”
Don’t worry. Any scores submitted 2 weeks before deadline would have no problem at all. It just takes time for the school to update the record.
@billcsho how can you check if your scores have sent yet?
Check Wolverine Access to see if it has been received.
I called College board and there is a backlog, but they will allow you to add a rush for $31 to your score (ours from 10/19 is still pending too) the rush will take 2 days to get out… golf student go on sent scores link on CB
Ordered scores on 10/19, on 10/25 I paid for rush (at their request if I wanted my scores to definitely get there) and its been 3 days; scores read still pending… called college board for the 4th time last night and they said they are backed up (blamed it on the high volume of Oct SAT takers due to June mess up) and they know people are shooting for this deadline of Nov 1st but can’t guarantee anything- even rush- but will try their best to get everyone’s scores out by Nov 1… but can’t guarantee it.
I think we should all send some letters giving college board a lecture on unscrupulous business practices here. First they should have posted warnings on their site -that due to high volume scores were going to take longer than usual and everyone should submit earlier - Second they should not have told me to pay extra if they knew they couldn’t even fulfill rush requests Third they need to send emails to the colleges we are all trying to submit scores to stating that it is they and not us who are not complying with deadlines… this is ridiculous!!
The rush score service would only save a couple working days if the school does accept rush score. It is mostly a waste of money.
