Hi guys, I am applying to University of Michigan and Santa Clara University for EA. SCU doesn’t care about when they get the scores, just by the fact that it’s post marked in time. However, UMich states that they must receive all scores and reports by Nov. 1 for the application to be considered. My rec letter will be submitted soon, and my SSRs and transcripts and everything have also been sent. However, I did rush shipping (I PAID AN EXTRA $31) for ALL my scores to UMich and SCU (better safe than sorry) last Thursday. When I went to the CB page to check both yesterday and today, it still says my order is pending??? What in the world is going on? My parents and I spent so much money already (reminder, an extra THIRTY ONE DOLLARS) and my September ACT score report is delayed, so I have to contact UMich about that too. Will UMich receive my scores in time?
Call College Board ASAP! They have a guarantee policy that they send “rush” scores 2 days after you request and pay extra for it. If they have not sent them they need to -1. send them and 2 refund your money. I would push for a refund no matter what as the reason you paid extra was bc the were supposed to be there in 2 days an they weren’t…
@runswimyoga I’ve been trying to for the past hour! I live in CA, should I contact my regional officer or the national office?
I called 866 756-7346 SAT for students and parents… I guess that is national?? (Each time I suspect I had people from India answering I am think they out source to India call center… but they were able to look up my sons info and advise… hope this helps!
How do you check the status of your order? I cannot find this option.
@Ballerina2016 Log on to the “scores” page of the SAT. You should see the entirety of your testing history with the SAT here. In the section where all your scores are shown, there’s something right at the top of that. It’s labeled “See sent scores”. You can always ctrl+f it. Click on that, and you’ll be able to see the status of your score reports. Hope this helps.
Thank you @basedchem Found it!
I just got through. to CB… at the 866 756-7346 (after waiting over 30 mins) they said they are aware that everyone is trying for that nov 1 deadline and they are backed up but hope all scores will go out by nov1… but that they can’t guarantee that…??? (this is extremely unscrupulous when they have rush for that purpose) but they refunded all of my rush money … she said they are working as hard as they can to get the scores out… she blamed it on the June Sat mess up allowed more people to take the Oct SAT an that caused a log jam… yet we sent out scores before the Oct results came out
talked to UMD today - they said they are WELL aware of the College Board issue and they were told by College Board that they would get the (everyones) scores on Friday. If not they told me to call CB and get the batch number (?) and date from college board to prove …Dont know what this means but if everyones scores don’t say sent on Fri call and request your batch number that should protect you for the Nov 1 deadline
@runswimyoga Wait check your status! My scores were sent sometime today!
WAIT. IT SAID IT WAS SENT YESTERDAY, BUT NOW IT SAYS IT’S PENDING.
@basedchem Same exact thing happening to me. I called them and they said that they’re gonna try and send everything tomorrow but not sure
OMG IT HAPPENED TO US TOO>>> I called CB and they said they have no idea why it said sent and now doesn’t they checked and are pretty sure they are not sent.
They told me they are trying to get them all out tonight and will get them out by hand if they have to… but when I told them ok so get ours out by hand they wouldn’t bc its not that time yet… WTF?
I asked if they are open this weekend and they said NO, but next weekend they are…LIKE REALLY? They told me batch # is 500 (I have no idea what that means but UMD said for me to get a batch #).
I called UMD and they said they are NOT accepting anything after Nov1 bc they are expecting a huge batch tomorrow morning. UMD is open tomorrow and told me they would check to see if they were in that batch. If not call CB on Mon and to make them send them on MON by hand. and I might have a shot???
So, I’m thinking it might be by schools that are pending BC on another post people sending to UPenn were waiting and people from Yale who requested were sent and UMD told me they are expecting a large batch to be sent tomorrow… I would call your schools admissions office tomorrow… UMD told me to call tomorrow to see if they received the scores in the batch… This is ridiculous!
My D got an email today from CB apologizing for the delay and that the money will be refunded. They are contacting all schools and asking the schools to recognize that the error is on their side.
From College Board email:
“Processing of rush SAT® score report orders placed on or after Oct. 15, 2015, is taking longer than expected, and your scores are among a set that have not yet been sent to universities. We will deliver score reports as soon as possible. For colleges that allow self-reporting on their applications, you can view your scores online and report them directly.
We are reaching out to colleges with early action/early decision deadlines of Nov. 1 to make them aware of the situation, and we are encouraging them be flexible should scores arrive late.
If you ordered your score reports for rush delivery on or after Oct. 15, you will receive a refund of the $31 fee if your order was not fulfilled within two business days from the time your order was placed. Please allow 5–10 business days for the credit to appear on your credit card or PayPal account.”
I called Michigan today and they said there will be NO leeway if they don’t receive the scores by November 1st… Wtf?
@TalkTheTalk SAME. I got off the phone with them 2 hours ago, and I was so mad. It’s not my fault. Can we just all sue College Board please?
Just got off the phone with CB … They said they are now going to be open tomorrow to get these scores out an dot call them if your score has not been sent by 4pm 866 756-7346
@hmays1 We received the same email. The only problem is in talking to UMD - UMD thinks the CB problem is only from people who took the OCT SAT and had the scores sent from that… We did not take the Oct sat - we just requested scores be sent (on Oct 19, and rushed them on Oct 25)… College Board did not make this clear to UMD … please save your receipts from CB when /that you requested scores…
Yeah, on the phone CB argued with D about that. She was sending June SAT scores, not recent scores. I can see how they would have confused UMD.
