should i retake because the scores are so skewed, and it makes it seem like i suck at critical reading? or is it ok, and should i just chill out?

if yes, when should i retake? jan 2010 or march 2010, and how should i prepare?

i am aiming for good private schools and this was my first try on sat. thank you.

Are you graduating in 2010? If yes, then you should take the January SAT and study Critical Reading intensely. Don’t worry about dropping in Math or Writing, because colleges will superscore and you’ve already maxed out. If you’re not a senior, then wait until the fall of your senior year and let yourself improve a bit.

I would try to retake it when you are ready. There isn’t much use in taking it when you aren’t prepared. Depending on what grade you are in, I’d suggest that you take it in January. If you need more time to study though, then take it in March.

thanks. i’m a junior so i’ll graduate in 2011…but i plan on studying over winter break immensely, so I’m planning Jan for right now, but I can always cancel if I’m not ready.
