SAT score weirdness

I have an SAT dilema!!

The first time I took it, I got 580 CR, 640 math, and 620 reading for a total of 1840. Then, I took it again a 2nd time, did a small amount of studying (from the college-board book) and got a 630 CR, 620 math, and 560 reading, for a total of 1810.

Now, I think it's kind of strange that I improved my reading so much (even though I keep hearing that the CR is the hardest to improve), but then everything else decreased.

So, should I take the SAT a third time, or should I not even bother in the event that I do even worse? Have any of you guys had any significant success after taking the test twice and receiving similar mediocore scores?

580 CR, 640 math, and 620 reading
630 CR, 620 math, and 560 reading

-which score is your WRITING? anyway i'm assuming your writing score is the 620/560...

you said that you never really studied for the SAT. next time, if you actually put effort into it, your score will go up.

haha yeahh sorry my writing score is in fact 620/650
