Sat Score

i got a 1380, should i try again for the 1400+
like not study or anything (no time) but just try for the heck of it

i would if the university only takes your high score. A UC representative came to our school recently and encouraged people to take the SAT as many times as they want because of UC's system of taking only the highest score.

yea they all take highest score...but the sat is so....torturing

yeah i know but imagine how much better you'd feel afterwards. I think ur probably just overtaxed from taking the SAT today (did you?). If you take a lot of practice SAT's, unlike me, you'll go into the test room with a smile knowing you're about to outcompete your fellow peers or at least relative to before... a feeling i don't get cuz i hardly have prepared making me nervous on the test and screwing up left and right. Bottom line: dont do what i did and it wont be all that bad. lol

I wouldn't bother for a UC, but for any mid-high end private and above ( say over than Holy Cross or Wake) try again.

i took bio today
i wont be studying if i do take it again
do you mind me asking what you got on your sats?

You're talking about the old SAT right? Out of 1600?

yesss!! lol
actually i was just excluding wriiting...counting it i got 2070

2070 isn't so bad, i doubt an extra 50 or 60 points will change much!
even if you get 2150+, doubt that'll do much, don't waste your time.
my friend with 1380ish is at Uchicago, which is ELITE!

oh!....I thought he was talking about a 1380 on the New...I was like what?

Holy Cross and Bowdoin are SAT optional.

if you haven't studied much, i'd take a few tests and give it another whirl.
