SAT score?

<p>This is my first post and I was wondering what does it take to get into Rutgers? I am a High School Junior and have slacked off too much in grade school. This year I started getting a little more serious about school/life. I have a horrible class rank: 80/513 and my GPA is 3.875. I was wondering what kind of SAT score would I need to get in??? A friend of mine said I would need something very good in order to be competitive. I have all the respect for Rutgers, but I dont thnk it needs to be that high???/ </p>

<p>So again WHat kind of SAT score would I need to be competitive for Rutgers with my stats????</p>

<p>hmm i think you have very good stats unlike what your friend said.</p>

<p>i got in with a B+ and a 1310.</p>

<p>are you in state? if you are then it wouldn't be a problem with a 1300 or so. i hope that helps</p>

<p>no 1310 is with Math and Critical reading from the new test.</p>

<p>my sats all together were:
710 math 600 reading 600 writing 9 essay</p>

<p>i'm not sure they considered my december scores:
710 math 750 CR 600 writing</p>

<p>but i'm sure it was a 1910 that they looked at.</p>

<p>i improved my critical reading section by 150 points by just calming down. it was strange. i didn't study the night before except for one hour and i calmed down. the november sats, i worried the night before and i was literally panicking while i was taking the test, so i think i made some careless errors.</p>

<p>my advice to you would be to just calm down when you take the exam and the night before, just look over your key facts and get a good nights sleep.</p>

<p>i studied a lot for the november one and i didn't do so well, but when i took the practice test, i always got 700 plus even on barron's. so i went into the december one with a different mindset as the other one.</p>

<p>i got into rutgers nb and newark with a 1230/1600 ---1810/2400 rank: 16/309 gpa: 4.2-4.3</p>
