How important are SAT scores to MIT admissions? I have 720R, 720M, 730W.
The only thing that worries me is that the median SAT math score is 770, and my score does not even fall in the interquartile range! Math, however, is my best subject in school. I am in Calc BC and got a 5 on Calc AB. If I apply with the scores I have, do I have to score super well on SAT Math II, which I am taking in November, to even be considered?

I’m pretty much the same way. I got a 5 on both AP Calculus AB and BC but couldn’t muster higher than a 720 between the two SATs I took. I’m also taking Math II in November; I think a solid performance on that will definitely put you in a more comfortable range, although you have to remember that it’s a holistic admissions process, so one score won’t kill you.

Me too. If u don’t mind I’d also like to ask a question: what effect does a low writing score have (600) with 780-800 reading score?

I remember reading recently in the MIT forum that the SAT writing is not used in the admissions process.

2000 too low to apply ED ?
