SAT score

Hey guys, I have recently received my SAT score. It is shameful, very very shameful 1820. I have only 3 months to prepare again and retake SAT. Do you think that in three months I can achieve 2100 on the SAT. And do you have any tips to do CR, because I only got 460 on this dreadful section? Please help me, I am absolutely desperate…

I think if you work really hard you should be able to do it! I brought my score from a 1640 to a 2110. Not to discourage you, but CR is, in my opinion, the hardest to improve. The best thing you can do is just keep practicing. I suggest you go on websites like quizlet to study SAT vocab, and if you don’t have it already the blue college board book is super helpful. Just keep studying… Good luck!

how much time did you improve you score? amazing!

Well my 1640 was the october test, but then I sort of put off studying until the middle/end of march. So, i studied from March until May and then took the test May 2 and got a 1900. Then I took it a third time June 6 not really expecting to improve too much (because I didn’t study anymore) and got a 2110! So I guess you could say it took me about 2 months because I only studied between March and May, but I studied VERY hard in those two months. I would also say some of the tests are easier than the others because I didn’t practice at all between May and June, yet I did far better in June.

It’s definitely possible. Not easy, but definitely possible. My tip for CR: study good word lists like crazy (use Quizlet).

Do you guys read English books crazily?

^That would help, but in my experience, is really not necessary in order to do well on the CR section. I am able to score 700+ consistently after reading hundreds of passages and forcing myself to interpret a deeper meaning in each one. As you take more and more practice tests, you will more easily be able to discern the “CollegeBoard dummy-answers” that look very appealing but have no justification whatsoever by the original passage. You yourself will try to justify many answer choices as correct; change that attitude and see why they are wrong and I’m sure you will be able to knock many answer choices like flies. So in other words, practice makes perfect.

thank you so much!
