Hi GUYS,
i just did my SAT's and this is my 2nd time applying to colls, because last yea ri didnt get into my 1st choice and i wanted to take a year off traveling and leanring languages. is this a respectable score:
CR 730 97%
M 620 80%
W 680 92%

I'm applying to a couple of Ivies and stuff because even though ym math is low, i have a really good profile speaking 6 languages, and havign a job with a major newspaper, receivong national and intl awards in debating, awards in opera, and i have great grades! do you think these scores will be good enough 4 schools like pomona, brown and chicago?
Tha-nks!

For Pomona, your scores would make it a "possible." I wouldn't say the same for the other two. I think if you just raised your scores to a close 700 you'd be MUCH better off.

thats only a 2030, which is ridiculously poor. You need at least a 2390. Plus, you only speak 6 languages. A typical ivy league student can speak around 3,400 different languages-and thats only half of what Ethnologue reports.

Of course you should. 2390 is only like the 50th percentile nowadays. 2000 is like the -20th percentile. I mean I guess some community colleges may accept 2000, but seriously, do you want to waste your life?
