Sat Scores!?chances Please-nyu & Boston

Hey guys, I'm applying to NYU and Boston College this year. I've taken the Reasong SAT test once [Critical Reading in the 500s and Math in the 600s] in June of my junior year and the next one I took just several days ago on Dec 3. My score from my junior year without study was very low, especially the critical reading mark. Then I realized that I've screwed up on my Dec 3 test by not transferring the answers onto the answer sheet for one whole Critical Reading section [ and i know it wasn't the experimental section because there were 3 writing sections this time]. Should I cancel my scores?

If I do it in Jan. again, scores won't be in until at least Feb. which is way past the deadline. What to do?!The undergrad of both universities said they won't guarantee my scored being reviewed if i send my scores in with my Jan test results.

SAT IIs are not so good either: Biology M 620
Mandarin 800

SHUOLD I HOLD COLLEGEBOARD'S SCORES UNTIL LATE JANUARY OR SHOULD I SEND ASAP AND EXPLAIN ABOUT THE ONE SECTION I'D SCREWED UP!?

I'm no expert. But I'd think that by admitting you can't properly transfer answers from a workbook to the answer sheet on a test, you'd make yourself look worse than if you got a really low score.

that i've considered as well. but i don't see any other choice. it would be better to submitt some score that's gonna at least put my math and writing scores higher. but then again...really really really low critical reading score..probably around 300-i'm expecting.

Make sure you apply to a few safe schools. Don't bank on NYU or BU. They are way too competitive to listen to any excuses.

Options:
cancel scores - but you can only do this until 11:00pm the Wednesday after the test (tonight) - so that is out
have it hand scored - but since it was your error they will not adjust your score anyway - so that is out
take the tests in Jan - but BC and NYU want the scores and materials in by Jan 1 - so that is out
I agree with CollegeBound - make sure you have a few safeties because these are the scores you have got.
Or see if there are any colleges that will take Jan scores and retake it and apply there instead of BC and NYU.
