Hi, I'm not sure if this is just me getting tired, but are the later sections of the SAT more difficult? The questions seem to make less sense and the vocabulary portion seem to have more difficult words. Also, the Math section becomes more absurd.

In the earlier sections, I get at most, 2-3 wrong per section. Then at section 6, I get 4 wrong, 7, I get 8 wrong, and it get's pretty bad.

Thanks

Yes, your brain has a limit on how long you can focus and how accurate your judgements are. Look up “decision fatigue”.
It’s like stamina, you just gotta keep practicing to raise it.

That’s weird, for me I always do worse at the beginning and best at later. I guess it’s more of a psychological problem.

when I took the SAT, I always had a couple hershey kisses and a drink of water in between each section to keep my mind awake and focused. When you get tired, you don’t focus as much, and you do worse.

Lucky139: Ah, that makes sense. I think the long CR passages just start to kill me after a while.

satman1111: that’s a pretty good idea, thanks :)

I’m just glad the section is not actually getting harder.

Chocolate or what I do is basically take a cup of water and put some sugar in it and drink it. Sucrose/(or any sugars really) help stimulate neurotransmitter release in the brain’s reward system to keep you motivated and slightly focused for longer.
