Alright, now my grades are good from over my years of high school.
But when it came down to taking the SAT,
it just looks like, what happened to the guy?
And sometimes I think that it would determine if i go to college or not.
And I'm afraid that I might not be able to go to college, because of the scores.
I don't want to take the test again, because i've had the same score, everytime.
Is that a reason why i won't get into college?
Should I take the test for a 4th time?

Try taking SAT prep and studying, if you haven’t already. A fourth try couldn’t hurt. It would help to know what scores you’ve been getting so we can access how much work you need to put in. (for all I know your “failure” scores could be like 2100)

You shouldn’t let your SAT scores get in the way of your higher level education.
An alternative you can take is to go to a community college for two years, and then retake the SATs before applying to a 4 year University.

I hope that helped!
Good Luck!

you both might be right.
i agree a little more with NeoGio,
I shouldn’t let a score define who I am.
My grades, recommendations, and statement define me more.
in my opinion, SAT stands for Saturday!!

dont stress over ur SAT scores. TRUST me, colleges don’t base their admission decision on SAT scores. mine are darn low…like 1940 or something, and i still am in the top 1.5% of the UCLA applicants pool. if i were you… i would being focussin on those personal statements…they really make a difference. and a bad scores on the SAT is a 1700 or below… so dont trip :]

harvard was considering making SAT scores optional…that says something about how much scores mean.

piinkpriinc3ss, u’re instate aren’t u? ![]()
_ronnie, are u only a junior now? if so,u have alot of time to study.
if u’re so willing to go to good schools, then u should have enough motivation to pwn the SAT.
i have seen many people like u,with high GPA,but mediocre SAT scores(1700s or less) in my school. i personally think SAT is a barrier, separating the lazy ones from the rest of the elites.
i think u’ll do well on the SAT, but only if u study.
good luck!
why go to CC if u worked so hard in HS/?

Actually noob harvard expects all their applicants to already have scores in the top half of the one percent so it wouldnt make much of a difference.

Have you looked at the test-optional colleges listed here?
[Optional List | FairTest](ACT/SAT Optional List for Fall 2025 - Fairtest)

It’s a long list, and some of the names on it may surprise you. If you’re a strong candidate without test scores, you have many options.

I am a senior.
And i’m not interested in big schools such as havard, and princeton.
I plan on staying in my homestate of New York.
And thanks for the list of test optional schools.

SAT scores are almost as important as your GPA…
they are important, and dont think otherwise until lots of big name schools drop it completely. I’ve seen charts from schools that show how important things are in the application process…

Of all of them, SAT scores just as if not more important than gpa.

Try the ACT, and take tons of practice tests for the sat.

and there are colleges that dont require sat’s and there are a few that will accept you even if you have a low sat score (like 1400’s/2400)
