First post on CC! Anyway, I took the SAT in eighth grade and got a 2150 (770 on math, 690 on CR, 680 on writing). I'm a rising junior, and I'm planning to take my second SAT this October, but I haven't really been studying for these past years (all the SAT-related things I've done are take the PSAT(freshman year-226, soph year-224)). How do you think my score will go up?

I wouldn’t worry too much about raising it, it’s pretty satisfactory as it is. 2150 is amazing, especially for an 8th grader. Review your vocabulary and practice writing essays: an hour or two a day should be enough for your score to be raised and each section to be 720+

For the upcoming PSAT that is also in October, I suggest taking this one more seriously (I implied that you weren’t take it AS serious, because of the score drop from 9th to 10th grade year), as it will actually be taken into consideration for Merit scholarships.

As long as you keep up with your studies this summer, you should be ready in the upcoming 3 months :)
