I sent my SAT scores on December 2nd to CSU apply in Long Beach (admissions center) and none of the CSUs I applied to have received them yet. I’m really worried because the deadline is right around the corner and I can’t call to ask because they’re probably closed until January. If I miss this deadline my application will be withdrawn. What do I do?!
If you sent them on Dec 2, they may not have gotten to the CSU’s until just before Winter Break and the schools may have not had time to post them. All you can do is double check to make sure that the SAT scores were definitely sent to the schools and check with the schools after the holiday. I am sure there is some leeway especially if you can prove they were sent by the College Board.
My son also sent his scores to the CSU’s on 12/3/17 (using 3594 Cal State Apply) and none of them received his scores yet and/or show up in his To Do List. SJSU sent him a message on 12/20/17 saying that due to a system upgrade, they are experiencing delays in in attaching the SAT scores and they will resume attaching the scores in January and if not completed by the Jan. 3 deadline, applications will not be withdrawn. It may take then until Feb. 1 to attach the scores. however, he did receive an email acceptance from SFSU on 12/22/17 but the SAT scores are still showing in his To Do list. Dies anyone know if this system issue is with all CSU’s or just SJSU?
My daughter sent her SAT scores to 1) Cal State Apply & 2) UC Riverside on 9/19/17.
It looks like CSULB has received her scores as the last “CSULB Application Status Report” email she requested no longer lists that they are needed (earlier email reports did say that test scores were needed). SDSU does not show as having received the scores yet. Cal Poly SLO & Cal Poly Pomona don’t have anything listed one way or another.
UC Riverside does show that they received the scores.
@ajn2000 I am in the exact same position and experiencing the same problems as your son, though I sent my SAT scores on December 10. Kinda weird how UCs managed to get my scores within 4 days of submission, but its been almost 3 weeks for CSUs. I’m hoping that they sort this out soon.
We had this same problem last year. Some of the schools did not show that they had received the scores, while some did. I couldn’t take the uncertainty so I had the scores sent directly to my son’s top two choices which were also high-match schools. In the end, all of the schools he applied to received his scores, so that step probably wasn’t necessary. However, an extra $24 was not a high price to pay for peace of mind.
For the CSU’s your scores are self-reported on the Apply Now App. I checked directly with SLO and SDSU and they said OK to send at time of application or once admitted. However, if someone has Dec scores it is best to send them as they would not otherwise know what the scores are.
Wow I’m actually relieved that I’m not the only one going through this. I thought I filled my information wrong and they couldn’t track my scores.
I just contacted SJSU through phone and they said that my scores have not even been received…
Although, the admissions rep stated that as long as you have proof that you have officially sent the scores via College Board well before the deadline then you shouldn’t really worry.
My daughter’s scores were sent in July to the Cal State University Apply universal code of 3594, to one UC (because they all share scores), and to the private universities she applied to. All UC’s she applied to have received her scores as well as the private universities. None of the CSUs have. I panicked in October when this showed up on To Do Lists, so I resent them to each individual CSU (paying the extra $). It is now Jan and they are still listed as not received. I called College Board on 1/5/18 and they gave me the batch numbers to reference, if needed and verified that everything was sent both times. I then started calling the CSUs one by one. They have all assured me they will eventually clear the hold. They said they have a new system and are downloading scores based on elimination. For example, Fresno State said every two weeks they download all scores under their new benchmark to eliminate those applicants. They said the process should be completed by the end of January. I have recorded all batch numbers and printed the sent score report off CollegeBoard as well as emailed this info to each CSU. At this point, it seems like a system wide issue and I feel confident I’ve covered all our bases. Also, we have already received a couple acceptance letters from CSUs still showing the SAT is outstanding. I hope this info helps someone!
