on the rice application it only has room for one SAT score and a place for the date it was taken...

does this mean i have to put down my scores from just one sitting, even though I did better on the writing section on another sitting, or can I mix and match?

That's an odd little flaw in the application layout - they actually look at the best scores, mixing and matching. Try to cram both dates into the spot if you can (I believe that's what I did when I applied).

Yeah on the Paper App part 2 you can put 2 SAT dates but on the online app part 2 you can do only 1 date. Should I just put my first date and not worry about it since colleges only care about official score reports (not reported score reports)?

Any definitive answers to this question?
Should we just fill in our best composite scores, and indicate one of the dates we took the SAT (there is no way to indicate two dates)? Or should we meekly obey instructions to the letter and write in our best single score?
Weird that there should be this distinction between the on-line and paper apps.

Yeah, but do you really think some Ad. person is going to go to the trouble of saying "hmmm, let's see if applicant #6,000 scored better on CR on a different SAT test date?" I'm concerned that they'll just accept what they see on the on-line app. and check official scores only when seeking confirmation of an "admit" decision.
