SAT Scores Question

When I sent in my application on Oct 14, I had self reported my SAT Math II score as 740, which I got in January. I did not officially send in scores at that point. However, I just received my new scores and got 760. When I send in the official scores to Duke, can I just send in the 760 and not the 740?

Also I got 770 on SAT Math I. Would you recommend I send both in?

Yes, I recommend you send those scores in. Self-reported course work does not replace your official score reports. So, don’t bother about the 740 you mentioned in your application.

But here’s the point: If you are comfortable with Math2, then why do you need Math1? 760 on Math2 is far better than 770 on Math1…

Definitely send the 760 in. They won’t penalize you because they will know by the SAT date that you had not known that score at the time. As for the 770, I would send that too as long as it doesn’t charge you more. If it does, its really not worth it because it will be assumed that if you did well on the Math II, you also did well on Math I.

So, a small change to my first comment. If I were you, I would send Math2 score, rather than Math1!

The only reason why I would send the 770 is because the curve is more harsh so they know I only got a couple wrong. Also I got a 34 on ACT Math, so I thought 770 on SAT Math I is better than a 34 on ACT Math.
