I've called berkeley and san diego and they both said not to send scores until acceptance. Is that true for all the UCs?

yes its true for all of them

wait, wait...are you talking about SAT scores? You have to send those...you don't send transcripts/AP scores until you're accepted though.

i thought we sent our SAT scores after we were accepted?

when you take the SAT you can have your scores sent to whichever school you want however, you don't HAVE to send them until you're actually accepted.

Right on, ckings86. You send scores only when you are matriculated. (This is to verify your scores)

Ohh...sorry then!

...I thought I sent mine in some time in December...oh well.

so i'm a junior,
and i'm taking the SAT in march
i said to send my scores to 8 schools
was i not supposed to do that?
is there a difference when you send it then or do you wait until after acceptance?

This is what it says on the UC Application Status website:
"Freshman eligibility requires submission of the official test scores for two SAT Subject Tests (in two different subject areas) and either the ACT Assessment plus Writing or the SAT Reasoning Test. Your scores must be sent by the testing agency to the campus(es) to which you applied. You must take the exams no later than December 2006 if you are applying for the Fall 2007 term. If the University does not have official score reports on file by late January, your admission may be jeopardized."

^ really? ok then yes, just send your test scores. I dont think it was that way last year. may be they changed it or may be i just have a bad memory.

honestly, i think it was exactly the same last year...i remember taking SATs in december and sending them in around that time too...so, just to be safe, send them in!
