SAT scores were never sent

(This is a duplicate post; I posted on the SAT/ACT thread but no response.)

Has anybody ever had this happen? My son's scores were not sent to any of the schools we listed on the SAT registration. Of course, we didn't know until we got the scores via mail and did not see any schools listed as receiving scores.
So, I sent them an email asking them to please forward his scores to those schools we had listed.
I'm still in an email battle with them, but I think they basically want us to pay an extra fee to have them sent. Um, no thanks.

Anyway, rant over!
Has anybody else ever had this happen and if so, how was it ever resolved?

thanks!

DrDrewsmom - Is College Board claiming that you never had the schools listed? The reason why I'm asking is that my son listed the 4 colleges he wanted his SAT sent and he told me it was all set. He then went on to print out his SAT test ticket and somehow decided to double checked his registration online and noticed that there were no schools listed. I helped him figure out what was going on, and come to find out, he did not press "confrim" or "save changes" (or something similar; I cannot recall the exact box) which was at the very bottom of the page after he chose the 4 colleges. He had to scroll down to see it. This box was not as obvious as it should have been. I'm wondering if this is what happened in your case? Of course, if your registration shows the schools, then it's College Board's fault and you should NOT pay for them to send them. Also, they should rush them.

You might try calling. Unless you have "proof" (i.e. a copy) of your registration that shows the codes that were selected at registration time, you're probably out of luck, and will have to shell out $$ if you want them sent....if your S is a senior now and applying for fall, you'll need them sent right away. If he's not a senior, if you think he'll retake it, you can have them sent then....

Since this was all back in October, we did not know the schools weren't there until we got his scores via mail in November.
I actually was the one who registered him and put the schools on. I added them a few days after the registration was completed (and paid for) but before the deadline to add schools, so they did not show up on his registration print-out. Buyer beware, I guess!

I just think their customer service is horrible if they won't honor including 4 schools, which is what we paid for.

DrDrewsmom - It might be worth it to pay the one-time rush fee of $26 (I think) for all the scores to be sent if S is a senior (plus the additional $9.50 per college). I had ordered one extra score last month for my S' final college on his list, and it took College Board 10 business days to process the request. I think the rush service is 2 to 3 business days.

Beware of using the rush service. Some school will not accept the rush service score sent to them. So make sure to check with the college first to see if they accept rush score from college board.
