SAT scores

hi, im applying to Northwestern and they only require either the sat I OR the ACT. I took the ACT and got a 29, 11 on the essay. I also took the SAT I and got a 1930.
math-740
verbal-590
writing-600. According to the statistics of their past applicants, I fall short of the middle 50% in the verbal. their verbal is 640-740, but i fall into the math ranges. Should i report these scores on my application , or will this hurt me more than help me?

Also, same goes for my SAT II scores. it's only RECOMMENDED that i take them, but i got low 600's and high 500's on them. should i put them on my application?
thanks

bump, its important!

Show the 29

Also, when a school says RECOMMENDED, it pretty much means you have to.

Anyone else have a different take?

seriously, recommended does mean you have to take it, usuall that is........uhhhhhh, 29 is prolly the better bet.

thanx. I am definitely reporting the 29 but I can also submit my SAT scores, cuz they'll consider those as well. Should i do this? or will this hurt my chances?

bumppppp, please!

Don't send them in.........

The tactically correct thing would be to send the ACT score only. However, I don't think sending the SATs will necessarily tarnish your app. It would be nicer if the SAT I CR/M scores were reversed. In the end, if the school wants you they will favor the scores that favor you, SAT or ACT.

Wow prettty in pink... you and i are SO close in SAT's it's ridiculous... although i didn't study the first time 740M 580CR 600W (1920) that was march, and then 740M 670CR 650W (2060) but my ACT is a 33 overall, and sat2's are like 2200 combined... but yeah just maybe study again and take them

collegebooundkorean...well, yeah, thats a good idea, buttt i dont have time to retake them. apps are due the first of nov.

ouch...sry then...
