SAT Scores

I’m seeing a lot of people saying that a drop the second time in a SAT means you have to take it again. I gave the test in March, and am still waiting for scores. What happens if it drops?
Previous tests :
October SAT : 2210
Math : 690
CR : 800
Writing :720

PSAT 221
Math : 71
CR :77
Writing :73

SAT Math Level 1 :730

Can I just superscore? Or will Subject Tests cover a dropped score? I don’t have time to give another SAT, and taking it 3 times might make me seem score obssessed. I don’t know my March scores, I’m just worried what will happen if they drop.

The PSAT is not seen by colleges, and the SAT Math Level 1 is a Subject Test. So, you can take the SAT twice again. Maybe you could improve your Math by taking the SAT again.

Yes, you can superscore the March and Oct results. If the schools you are considering do not require you to report all scores, you do not have to report the March scores, assuming they decline. I would guess that fewer then ten schools require full testing history, but please confirm individual college’s requirements.

But, if your March subscore increased on any section, it is worth reporting both the Oct & March scores. Almost all schools superscore the SAT. Also, I don’t think a third sitting will be viewed as excessive, but you may not need a third sitting if your Math score ticked up.

Sorry, my post has nothing to do…

Thanks guys! I really appreciate the info!

I took the SAT three times and the second time I took it, my CR score dropped by 80 points and all they did was delay my score release date.

@tcangoz The problem I have is if the colleges see the first time as a fluke if the score drops.
