So, I just got my SAT results back today. 2270 (800 - CR/ 800 - Math/ 670 - Writing with 9 essay) I’m concerned about how low my writing score is compared to my other scores. According to the Future Owls website, my writing score is in the bottom 25% This was my first SAT, and on my PSAT and practice SAT my writing score has always been higher. I’m pretty sure I can raise my score well into the 700’s if I try again, and I know Rice superscores, but I’m wondering if it’s worth it to retake the SAT in January to get my writing score above a 700. Thanks for your help!
Yes i think it’s worth it to retake it. I got my scores back too and usually, writing is my highest but I dropped A LOT!
Since January is the last time the current format SAT is being administered, and since you have scored higher on writing in practice tests, I would take it one last time. Congrats on your superb M and CR scores.
bump
I’m not sure what you’re looking for with your bump. If Rice superscores and you have the time/money and you want to go to Rice, then it’s 100% worth it! I can’t think of a reason why not, can you?
