I haven’t taken my SAT yet, I’m going to be a junior this year. I did alright on my PSAT but I’ve only taken one and I can’t afford a prep course right now. I’m hoping that I can get a better job so I can next summer if I don’t score as high as I’d like in October. Does it look bad to schools to take it as a senior, to wait to send in applications? I skipped my freshman year so I’m not too worried about the overall timeline, but will I lose my chance? Thanks! Hopefully the first time will go well but just in case…
It should be fine. From what I’ve heard, it doesn’t really make an impact whether you send an application early or on time. Many people also take the SAT senior year in the fall as their second attempt, and you already took it before. You’re on track.
Have a good day!
Well, for starters, there are plenty of free resources out there. Start with Khan Academy.
Most kids I know take the SAT twice-- in May of Junior year, and then again early Senior year. Don’t sweat the PSAT-- it’s the SAT that matters at this point.
@anthonytheboy Thanks so much. You have a good day too!
@bjkmom Okay, thanks, I’ll use that! Oh okay, that’s good. Forgive my ignorance on it hahaha but that’s good to know. Thanks a ton.
Forgot to mention Khan Academy. Great resource! Nice answer! @bjkmom
Have a good day!
Absolutely not “ignorance” and nothing for which to apologize.
You asked a good question.
Thank you, @abeg19.
Thanks so much @bjkmom and haha of course @anthonytheboy
