I'm being absolutely serious when I say that I didn't prepare for the SAT.

Jonathan2005: The original poster asked for us to post our SAT scores, etc, so I did. I see no reason to withhold my score simply because it happens to be good.

Kelly05: Your analogy, however amusing, doesn't apply here.

I freely admit that luck played a part in my score, and I certainly didn't think that I had gotten a 2400 when I finished taking the test, but ignoring reality will get you nowhere. I didn't prepare. It is possible.

hey btw, all the people who really did get 2400, maybe didnt do any specific preparation for the test, but they sure did got a lot of preparation, directly or indirectly, from high school

jan 05: (old sat) 640v, 760m : 1400
no prep classes. PR book. quizzed myself occasionally with new vocab for a month. took a few practice tests on the final week. obviously, didn't work well. :D
so practice.

i'm takin the new SAT on june4. preparing with kaplan n PR books along with one by Gary Gruber(?). a fren gave me the Gruber book. no prac tests yet. i know, i need to be working harder.

I think some of the 2400s here could be bluffs. I mean there were only 107 students who got it and 6 went to my school so that leaves 101 for the rest of the country. Then again maybe the 2400 people are more interested in colleges and that is why we see a few of them here.

800 on math iic is not uncommon especially since 10% of the math 2c test takers receive that score. if you get a 800 you will see that you're percentile is 90.

thats not as crazy as some of the foreign languages. 790 is like 53 percentile for chinese.

1/2. SAT: March 2005. 2400
SATII: Chem 800, Math IIc 800, US history 800, June '04
Bio Molecular 760, World History 800 June '03
Taking physics and literature in June.

In all cases, maybe a total of three or four hours flipping through a prep book.

Assorted companies' books, maybe slight preference for Princeton review.
