Hi, I'm a Sophomore and I took the Dec. 5 SAT..wondering if these are OK scores..I feel I could have done a LOT better, but quite a bit of the math I haven't learned yet, since the highest math I have received is Honors Algebra 2. Also, what do you think I should work on in terms of boosting scores for my next go around?

1540 is probably an average score in the nation, but the average on this forum is like… way higher. But don’t worry, because you’re still a sophomore, and you can still raise it a lot. If you’re IN Algebra 2 right now, then once you finish second semester, you have more knowledge. But I think the best way to prepare is to get a Prep Book for the SAT, and do a bunch of practice tests. That’s what I’m gonna do, anyways. Haha

Sounds good I kind of figured I wouldn’t know some of the stuff on the math portion of the SAT just because it is higher level math…as for writing…I think I should just practice speedwriting a half decent essay with a higher level English teacher.
