SAT Scores

I know Penn requires students to send all SAT scores and as a junior I got my first test results back and got a 1950 (580 CR, 700 M, 670 W). I know I have work to do but how much will my low CR score affect my chances? I will try my best to get it close to 650.

It’ll sting if you leave it that low, but you have time to improve it.

Yea I want to apply ED next year so I will try to improve it to high 600’s but do you think that the fact I still got in the 500’s will hurt me?

No – Penn superscores your tests. That means they will take the highest CR, the highest Math, and the highest Writing together out of all the tests you took.

Try to score above 700s. That will put you in the range. I just did 20 practice exams over the summer and my score went up 200 points. …I worked in a research lab and would just do them while cells were growing. It was a good use of my time, I guess.

^^^haha that’s an interesting location to do SAT practice tests.
And yes, Penn superscores.
I got a 590 the first time I took the SAT for CR sophomore year, then got 710 junior year. Applying RD for c/o 2014.

Thanks guys I still have hope of getting in.
Btw Good luck with ur application process!
