I'm still trying to figure out how this 'sending scores' to schools for SAT works! I searched CC a bit and found out like there has been the exact sort of questions a lot of times, but unfortunately I can't really see a good, COMPLETE answer.

I'm giving the SAT for the second time this Jan. I gave once on Dec 2nd. Now, I thought I could study and get myself PREPARED for this one. I didn't. So, I'm kinda taking a risk w/ this coming test. So, I feel like it's WISER NOT TO inform the schools about my this SAT score right now. Now, if I DON'T put the specific schools' name I'm applying to, will they anyhow know about my score or it'll decide upon me? I'm thinking of sending the score to two schools right now. When I'll be sending other two later on (if I decide to) will that take me some $20?

They will know about every score regardless of whether you list the schools on the test. If you think it could serisouly harm your chances of acceptance, you'll need to cancel your scores to keep colleges from seeing them.

Actually, if you send the scores now, the schools will not see the new tests unless you send them again. Schools are not automatically updated on the scores.

If you later decide to send the scores, it will cost you additional funds.

Finally, if you take the test a third time, and then send the third scores, the first and second will be sent as well.

when you register you can send 4 free reports. it will list all your scores so far (including the test you're registering for). if you decide to wait you lose the free reports, but they will still see all your previous scores.
