I sent the scores on January 5th and it is still pending.
One time I sent the scores on October, and it only took 2-3 days.
Is it taking longer because lots of people are applying recently?

College Board just varies in its time. I don’t think there is actually a real reason why it takes longer for some orders.They should be sent within another 3-5 days if the method of delivery is electronic.
I ordered mine on 12/31 and it hasn’t been sent out either.
