Hey CC,
What’s the best way to get better on the sentence completion section on the SAT? Is it better to memorize words, memorize roots, or what? I have no problem with the rest of the critical reading section, but the sentence completion part is a killer.
I totally understand your struggle; I hate the SAT due to the critical reading section, especially the sentence completion section. What I do to study is to read books (well, of course), register for Method Test Prep (this website helps a lot with the SAT/ACT overall), and maybe download the SAT Question of the Day. Every day there’s a sentence completion, writing, or math question, and the app has definitely been a factor towards a little bit of improvement on the SAT. Good luck on your SAT!
@Mochis1 thanks for the help! I downloaded SAT QOTD and I’ll check out the Method Test Prep site. I haven’t really sat down and read a book on my own for a while so I think I might do that.
Not a problem! I wish you good luck in your studies!
And I agree, I would read a book, but the fact that there’s AP testing and finals and all that jazz, I haven’t had the time to xD
