<p>i took the sat in janruary, taking it in march and have done a fair amount of sat studying. my question is, what are some tips that you guys have for a sat student who is taking the act for the first time in april? iv heard t hat you need to read a lot faster... any other tips?</p>
<p>Do a couple of practice tests. It is NOT the same at all.</p>

<p>^^ however it is very similar. After studying for the SAT in Jan. I did maybe 1 or 2 practice tests for the ACT. Many things overlap.</p>

<p>I thought I was an SAT student, but I did a small amount of studying and I did much better on the ACT. If I were you, I’d work the hardest on the science section, because most people perform poorly on it so it can really bump up your composite. The reading and math questions are pretty similar to the SAT, just remember there isn’t a guessing penalty.</p>
