I know that UC Berkeley doesn't require SAT subject but will they still look at the scores if you did take it? If you got a pretty good score on subject, will they consider that during the admission process?

yes to both q

[University of California Admissions](http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions/undergrad_adm/paths_to_adm/freshman/examination_reqs.html)

the class of 2011 is the next class that will be required to submit subject tests

^you mean the class of 2015 is the last class to need the subject tests.

you know what i mean High school class of 2011, college class of 2015

2 SAT subject tests are still required if you are applying this year.

Starting next year they are no longer required but possible that they are optional just like the AP tests.

SAT Subject Tests can be used to satisfy a-g subject requirements, so that is how the tests can be used once the Subject Test requirement goes away. If you are applying for engineering, Math Level II and a Science are still strongly encouraged and good scores will help boost your competitiveness.

SAT Subject Tests are required for students entering college in Fall 2011. The requirement goes away for students entering college in Fall 2012 and after.
