Sat Subject questions--thanks

Took last test blind, and got 800 Math II, 770 Physics, 740 French.

I have taken AP physics but didnt know any of the optics questions because we have never covered them. If I retake, I will be able to get an 800. I will definetaly be able to up my french, especially if I take it 1st instead of 3rd.

I am planning next month to take 3 of the following 4: USH, Literature, French, or Physics

I am planning a major in poly sci or econ at a east coast private school. Which tests should I take? Should I try and just get 3 800s to submit, or can you send in more? If, say I ended up with an 800 Math, 800 Physics, 800 history, 760 Literature, and 740 French, would I send in all 5? Just top 3? Top 4?

Thanks.

anyone have input?

anyone have any input?

I honestly don’t think you need to retake/take new tests. It seems a bit much to take five subject tests, as your three scores are very good and will be competitive even at ivies! Most colleges will not require more than two or three subject tests, so I wouldn’t bother taking more. Sending more may just clutter your app. I hope this helps, but again, it’s up to you. You can spend the next two weeks two ways: studying for three more tests or relaxing and enjoying the last few weeks of school. The choice is yours, but I don’t think a 740 in French will keep you out of any college on its own.
