Hey so I've been studying for the SAT Biology M test (taking it in June). Does anyone know about how much the ecology is in the 60 common questions? I haven't studied any ecology (except for the little I did for the AP test), and I want to know how much I should focus on it for the SAT2.
Also how accurate is the Barrons book in regards to test difficulty, composition, etc?

<a href=“The SAT – SAT Suite | College Board”>The SAT – SAT Suite | College Board;

Ecology is 13% of the M test. So around 10 questions. If you go over the ecology from a good AP book, you should be fine.
Barrons is extremely detailed, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. If you study from
Barrons for the SAT2 , or even a good AP review book (like CliffNotes or Barrons) you should probably be fine.

Remember, the AP this year was a lot less detailed–more analytical, less memorization. You’ll need to know details for the SAT.

How do you suppose we cram time to study both the AP test material and the SAT if they don’t correlate? Will the curve be more generous?

I read from somewhere that the review materials for AP and SAT are almost the same.

But that was before the AP biology test was remodeled. In my biology class, we barely learned anything on anatomy, taxonomy, organismal biology, etc. because those things weren’t going to be tested on the AP exam anymore. :(

Help!!
my daughter took Bio SAT sub test. She got very low score, something very wrong.
Please help…

Can you be more specific? What score did she get? How hard did she study? What are her weak points? How many times has she taken it?

She practice score was always over 750. but she got 640. Something went very wrong

I’m sorry, but this is absolutely hilarious. I just figured out what people mean when they say CC is ridiculous. There’s a PARENT freaking out becuase his/her daughter got a 640 on a PRACTICE TEST!!! Omg, this is too good!

@The84thline: I’m sorry but as a matter of fact, I believe xukui811 is complaining how her daughter’s real SAT score is lower than her daughter’s practice scores. If you peruse it, you can understand it too =) And yes, after reading your comment, I think CC is indeed ridiculous

Oh the irony…

@xukui811: May I ask how many practice tests did your daughter take? Practice scores sometimes do not reflect the real performance as they depend on in which prep books your daughter takes the tests. However, if she truly believes that her score must be higher, I suggest you wait for the score report. If any anomaly occurs, contact Collegeboard to get her score hand checked (with a fee of course).

Minnan, Thanks. She must checked E but worked on M.

SHe took one more BIO test, the result is 740. THhanks alll
