Hi!
I want to study Economics in Harvard and I do not know which SAT subject test to take. I am prepared for nearly all the tests, but I am wondering if taking Physics would look good. Is a 800 in Physics better than in Biology or French?
Hi!

Biology, French, and Physics are three totally different subject matters. Take the test you feel you will score the highest on. It does not matter whether you get an 800 on Physics or French; what matters is if you will get credit for them in college. Physics really won’t matter in your field of study, as opposed to someone who wants to go into engineering.
Did you take all three courses and do well in them?
Yes, that’s why asking.
I’d recommend Math II and then a subject test or two in whatever area(s) you feel most comfortable, take practice tests to assess your ability. This excludes languages for which you’re a native speaker.
Some recommend a math or math 2 for economics. Be aware that an ideal combination of tests would be math 2 and physics if you can score high on them because those meet any subject test requirements for admission to any college that requires subject tests for any liberal arts or science or engineering major and thus taking those two allow you to apply to any college that requires subject tests without having to take any other subject tests. A third choice if you want to take more than two is a foreign language SAT, which is not needed for admission but a number of colleges will use a language subject test score for placement purposes in college and some even give college credit for good scores.
Thanks! I am going to take Math 2, Physics and French.
