I am taking 3 subject tests in early October. I am taking Math II and Chemistry for sure. However, the third test is up for debate. I realize that SAT 2’s can help bolster an application. I am interested in studying pre-med, so I was wondering if a high score in bio would look better than physics. The main problem is that I am currently taking AP Bio (only offered as a senior course at my HS) so I would have to self-study the entire unit. I took AP Physics 1 last year (in C now).
Would it be more efficient to study physics in that case especially since the time frame is short?
No. No college has a stated preference for bio vs. another subject. They will consider the best 2 if you send more than 2.
@skieurope Is this the case even if i am a prospective bio major? Because in that case I’d take physics over bio because I’ll most likely achieve a higher score. Thank you
No college expects you to read the tea leaves. If a college specifically wanted bio, they would ask for bio. Most colleges do not even admit by major. Any science is fine.
