Ok, I signed up for the SAT - II literature subject test for June a couple weeks ago. I did it based on information from someone who knew someone who had taken it and said it was pretty much exactly the same as the SAT critical reading section. Not the most reliable information I know, but I signed up based on that because I did well on the critical reading. Now, perusing this site, all I've heard is that it is a very difficult test with a small curve. Should I be worried about this test?

Extra info:
Taken SAT once - got 800 on critical reading section

All A's in english throughout schools, one of my biggest strengths is reading comprehension

Currently in IB english 11, not AP lang (will this hurt my chances of doing well?)

Also I bought the Barrons review for this test, and am planning to use it solely for the practice tests. Will this be enough studying?

Hi - I was doing some research into this test for my son last week (I’m a UVA grad/English major). To see what the test was like I took all the practice questions on the collegeboard.org website. Without a single English class under my belt in 25 years I got all the questions correct; from your description of your talents I think you’d do fine. My takeaway was that even more than your ability to interpret passages correctly is that you need to have a very good vocabulary, because the questions used sophisticated words and if you don’t know the meaning of the words you won’t get the right answer. Take the practice questions and see what you think…
