SAT Subject Test: Math I

I’m an international student (Canada) and in my school, SAT Subject Test Math II is equivalent to Grade 12/Calculus 12 Math and SAT Subject Test Math I is equivalent to Grade 11 Math and a little bit of Grade 12 (pre-calc). I’m in grade 11 so I haven’t taken Grade 12 math yet.

On Stanford’s website, it says that they recommend people to take Math II instead of Math I. Does it look bad if I take Math I?

I did get 800 on SAT Math but SAT Math is SAT Math, not Grade 11/12 Math.

Thanks

Yes, take Math 2 during Oct / Nov - you would have studied a bunch of it by then. Math 1 is ignored at the elite colleges - it is too simple to care about.

A lot of students take Math 2 without having completed calculus.
