SAT Subject Test Math Level 2 importance as an engineering applicant?

I just submitted my application last week to Berkeley, UCLA, UCSD, UCI, and UCSB, and I selected chemical engineering as my major. I didn’t know that SAT Math Level 2 scores were highly recommended and I didn’t do well on it(700), so I didn’t send it. I did send my SAT II scores for Chem(800) and US History(750). Do I have no shot at getting in to an engineering school without an SAT Math Level 2 score?

Since they are recommended but not required, you should not be penalized for not sending it the score, but a 700 is still considered a good score and I would have submitted it.

If I were in your position, I’d send it. It’s not too late if you do it now.

ok it’s just that I looked at the percentiles for my scores and its in like the 51st percentile, so I feel like that would hurt my chances
