I just took the diagnostic test in the Barron's book and scored a 790. How much preparation do I need in order to score an 800 on the actual SAT subject test. I'm worried because many of my friends told me that the Barron's book is much easier than the actual test.

According to this thread your friends are wrong: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-subject-tests-preparation/1132427-sat-2c-math-takers-please-help.html

I have never taken it so I can not say for sure, but that thread was just above yours.

I found the Barron’s book to be harder than the actual test! Barron’s said my score would be a 680 but I got an 800!

yeah, if you scored really high on the barron’s then you are good to go.
i got 500-600 on the barrons and got a 790 on the real thing.

yea, i’ve been hearing that the baron’s is much harder than other study guides…

i took one of their tests today, i scored 710 without studying. im in calc bc currently… darn, looks like i have to go back and review some trig.

Barron’s is a lot harder than the SAT II. I got around 700 consistently on Barrons, and an 800 on the actual test.

Thank goodness for CC…I’m in PreCal and was studying the whole book to try for a 800 after I got a 720 on the diagnostic practice. Now I can relax.
