SAT Subject Test question for SEAS

Would a 750 on the Chemistry SAT 2 look more impressive with only a non-AP chemistry class during my sophomore year? (It's what I got sigh)

Let's say I got 800 on Math 2 (I'm good at math), and also got a 750+ on physics, is that even a little competitive for SEAS?

BTW ( I also got a 730 on SAT 2 bio M during my freshman year.................) Would Columbia even look at that?!

Does it really matter that much to you? If you think you can retake it and have a high chance at getting an 800 and will definitely do better by 30+ points, than do it.

If not, than just don’t stress about it. There’s a lot more things going into your application than just your SAT test scores. In addition to all those other things, your intended major (if you have showed interest through other work) would also determine how related your scores will be.

I got into SEAS '13 with a 740 SAT II chemistry score taken in the fall of my senior year while taking an AP chemistry class (i personally find that sad, but hey, the results of procrastination). I did demonstrate interest/experience/good performance in an unrelated engineering field though. I also got into engineering in similarly good schools (ie. JHU BME, although i decided not to do BME afterward, Northwestern, Duke, etc.), so really, your SAT II scores won’t hurt you for most schools (it might hurt for MIT/CalTech, but “technically” not crippling) as long as you have other good factors/qualities, which are necessary to get into any really selective school anyways.

btw, i find the fact that you have 546 posts on this forum while you are most likely starting junior year (i assume) a little disturbing, lol. go out and enjoy life! : P

Wow lmao, I never noticed

Um would you mind posting your stats Jooter? lol

Any other inputs?

dude I got a 650 on the SAT Chem test. that’s bad and it didn’t hurt me, relax.
