SAT subject test registration help

guys i just registered for the sat on oct 1st and found out that u cant take the subject tests on the same day…

im applying to Cornell ed and submitting my app on oct 28th since nov 1st is the deadline

but the next sat subject test date is on nov 5th… what do i do???

If the subject tests are required, I would take them on October 1 and take the ACT instead of the SAT. You can still register for the October 22 ACT.

ED will not help you if your application is incomplete. The alternative would be to take the subject tests on Nov. 5 and apply RD.

@mamaedefamilia cant i take it on nov 5 and tell them that scores are yet to be released? bc the nov 5 sat score gets released on nov 22 and the decisions are out around first week of dec

@LV98xx

If you are confident that you’ll score above a 700, then take it on Nov. 5. You can submit the Nov. 5 score to Cornell, but you will have to do a rush delivery I think.

@LV98xx You need to call Cornell and ask!

In general terms, some schools offer leeway if the test is taken BEFORE the application deadline and there is a delay in reporting scores. However, you would be taking the subject tests AFTER the Nov. 1 application deadline. Assuming that the CB releases the scores as scheduled (sometimes there are delays), best case scenario is that those scores will land at Cornell right before Thanksgiving. That seems rather late, if decisions are to be released in early December.

Have you already taken either the SAT or ACT?
