Hey guys,

Today i took the sat math2 and physics test and i was wondering if u guys knew how the retake policy works (i mean just taking physics per se over again in oct without cancelling the score). You know if it will show both my scores (when i apply to colleges) or will it show my better one, or my latest one?

Also i was wondering about the same problem in aps (taking aps, not cancelling, but retaking again) how do they show up?

Thanks in advance

You can retake the SAT II test in physics and when it’s time for you to send colleges your test scores, just use the Score Choice policy and pick the better physics score. (Some schools disregard the Score Choice policy, though.)

For APs, I think it just says “second sitting,” indicating that it is your second time taking the test. I’m not 100% sure, though.

All of your score will be shown unless you use score choice. But some schools require that you send in all your scores- but they say they only use the better one.

I think the AP keeps a record of both tests.

If you have 3 really high Subject Test scores and 1 very bad as in incredibly bad, not CC bad. How would the college regard it? Would this score make a major impact in admissions?

Considering this school does not acknowledge score choice.

I took Physics and Math II today and I feel I did relatively poorly on physics (omitted about ten and got 3+ wrong wrong for sure) and far below what I would’ve liked for math (I was looking for high 700 - 800 but I omitted 10 and got at least 2 wrong). I guess I could leave the scores be and just retake them, but I think it would be a better idea for me to cancel and retake in October, since I’m interested in some schools that do not like score choice.

What do others think? Also, do colleges see if you took a test and canceled the score?

no ifyou cancel it, its gone from your record…
I’m not sure what to do for me.
I ran out of timme on the chem and didnt get to 9 q’s…
I dont know if I should cancel them…and take them all in october…or if I shojuld just get the scores and take tehm again…
