SAT Subject Test Scores for Northwestern

I'm applying to the Weinberg Arts and Sciences college and "subject tests are not required but highly recommended". So basically it's a really good thing to send in.

I took them but my scores aren't amazing. I got a 670 in literature and a 720 in math I. My friend who's applying to Yale said that as long as it's in the upper 600's or up it's okay because they don't put that much weight on SAT Subject tests. I'm still hesitant to send them though since they won't help me.

I'm in the top 8% of my high school and I have a 32 ACT, so I'm fairly confident with my other "stats."

Should I send in the SAT Subject tests too? Because they ARE highly recommended, and it will show that I atleast took them even if I didn't do phenomenal on them. I think it might be better to send in decent scores than no scores at all since Northwestern is one of the few universities that words it this way (they are highly recommended).

Thanks.

I talked to a Northwestern admissions counselor a week or two ago. He said that AP scores were a fine substitute for Subject Test scores, so if you performed better on those they might be a good alternative.
