SAT Subject Test Scores

I’m a senior and I’ve applied to Georgetown University regular decision. A couple of weeks before the last available Subject tests were given out for 2014, I found out that Subject Tests were “highly recommended.” After being told this pretty much meant required, I paid the late registration fee and took three tests, and I also sent in the scores for free because I had already spent so much money on the tests. I took, US history, literature, and math II. I had two weeks to study, but I also had 5 AP classes, winter show practices, and semester exams coming up. I studied when I had free time, but there wasn’t much. I took AP US history sophomore year, geometry math team freshman year, Algebra II w/ Trig math team sophomore year, Pre-AP Pre-cal junior year, and now I am taking AP Cal AB. I am also taking AP Lit this year. I made straight A’s in all those classes so I thought that brushing up wouldn’t be that bad and that if I missed something that was on the test i could figure it out. My scores turned out to be abysmal and made me worried. I got a 690 in US history and 660 on both math and literature.
My ACT and SAT scores are great, I have a full resume, my transcript is pristine, and I thought that my interview went really well. Will these score have a big impact on my admission? My explanation seem to be a bunch of excuses. but I really wish I had known about the SAT subject tests much earlier instead of two weeks before I could take the last ones.

I wouldn’t worry too much. You have basically the same scores I did, and I got in EA. My SAT I wasn’t superb either, but I think my essay and recommendations helped. I wouldn’t count yourself out just yet.
