My kids took an SAT Subject test today and the procter shorted them 5 minutes. Anything we can do or should do about that? Thans for the help!

did he speak up? same thing happened to me for the SAT. The first section was cut short and the proctor admitted his mistake 2 sections later and had us return to the first section. I was pretty angry. I wrote Collegeboard a letter.
In the end, Collegeboard lets you cancel your score if you want. Do you think those 5 minutes mattered a lot? How much time does your son have left to take it again? If you think it really hurt and you have enough time to take it again, cancel and Collegeboard will let you reschedule for free. If you think it didn't matter that much or there's no more time before applying for college, then just keep the score.
Stuff like this happens each year around the country. Some of those test proctors are really dim-witted.

Thanks for the comments, do they have to cancel now? I think the 5 minutes make some difference but not a lot. May be 10-20 points?

It happened to me today. So what? I had to leave 2 questions blank; no one but me cares. You can't do anything to get those 5 minutes back, so take his score as is or take the test again. Life's not fair, so why should the proctors be?

"Life's not fair, so why should the proctors be?" Well, maybe because it's their JOB to make sure that the standardized testing is fair, so that all students have an equal opportunity. I know that I checked a lot of my answers in the last five minutes, so for me anyways, this time was very important.

To the OP: I would write CB to see if you can cancel the scores if you're not happy with them. Also, you should ask your kids how they think they did. If they feel that they did well, then it might be ok anyways.
