Are subject test scores or AP scores more important? I realize this is probably not the thread to ask, but I’m putting it here since I’m wondering if it’s worth taking the SAT II US History.
@ambitionsquared SAT Subjects are required for admission at most selective institutions, while AP scores are not. You should definitely take this test if you’re prepared!!
Just took my first two practice tests, got 600 and 620. I got every single question about the war of 1812, the Sherman Act, and the Wagner Act wrong lol! At least now I know what to study.
Does anybody have impressions about the Insider’s Complete Guide?
I’m thinking about whether I should take the AP us history test or not. I have a Princeton sat 2 us history book and Insider sat 2 us history by Krieger( Not the Insider Guide for AP). What do u guys think?
Are the MC questions more detailed than the ones in AP?
@jackwang0703 Yes!!
They are? Omg crap… But there should be more direct questions in SAT2 than in AP I guess?? So why do people always say if u are prepared for AP then SAT is not a big deal?
@jackwang0703 DM me
Where can I find any released tests?
I took the first practice test in Princeton Review and I missed 16 (left 2 blank), and in the book it is converted to a 710… Which is way lower than my goal
Is anybody taking the test tomorrow? This thread is so quiet… I just took the APUSH exam today.
APUSH Exam today, just took a Barron’s Practice test. It seemed like it had way too much unimportant details in it. Is 650 high enough to get a 800 for tomorrow?
Is there any released sat APUSH exam online?
how did everyone do ?
does anyone know what the previous years’ curve for the test was ?
Just got done with the April administration of the SAT II US History exam. I took the APUSH exam yesterday and felt that it was a good idea to follow up with the SAT subject exam. Overall, the test wasn’t that hard, but there were definitely things on there I hadn’t learned in APUSH; nonetheless, APUSH and supplementary review materials were pretty good for prepping me. However, I didn’t realize that the SAT IIs weren’t updated like the new SAT, so I did a fair amount of guessing. Considering I thought I failed the SAT II World History exam last year and had to guess a lot but ended up getting a 610 (not a great score, but not a failure), I think I may be contending for the high 600s at least for the SAT II AP US History exam.
lol ignore the fact that I wrote “SAT AP II.” I also took the MAY administration, not the April one.
just finished. I skipped about ten questions
How long was the entire test?
Did the test cover many trivial details?
