SAT Subject Test vs AP World History Exam

There’s only about a week until the AP World History, and I am preparing for it extensively using a review book and looking over previous notes to prepare. One thing I learned over the past couple of weeks is that they offered an SAT dedicated to World History. I have asked some other students about it, and they are giving me different opinions about the test, some saying that it is easier, and some saying that it is harder. After taking the class, is taking the subject test a good idea?

I can’t say for sure, but I’ll just offer this story: A few years ago, my son took AP US History (the class at his HS, and then the test). He was thinking of taking the SAT Subjects Tests, so I asked his APUSH teacher how the US History SAT Subject Test was compared to the AP test, and he said that his students had told him (i.e., after taking both tests) that the SAT Subject Test was much easier than the AP test. Take that for what you will, but it sounds like if you’re planning on taking the SAT Subject Tests, and you’re feeling good about the World History AP test, that might be a good candidate for you to take.
