SAT Subject Test

Is it a good idea to take Subject tests? Does it help the application dramatically?

It all depends on the school. Many do not require or recommend Subject tests, go to the college websites and see read the admissions information.

Some schools require them, some recommend them and some don’t want them at all.

Ivy leagues usually want them. Johns Hopkins favors 2 SAT Subject Tests (science or math, and other), but not required.

Guys. Check out this link for the list of schools that require/recommend SAT2.

Don’t forget that SAT2 scores may also be used for placement and scholarship evaluation.
For competitive schools that only recommend it, you should treat it as required

Colleges say it’s not required but they want them. Trust me.
