Hey all,
I am a rising senior. College applications are coming up and I am TERRIFIED. I’m not sure where I want to go, nor am I sure of where I’ll even get accepted. I have a pretty solid GPA, but my SAT score isn’t very high. Just out of curiosity, how important are SAT Subject tests? I’ve mainly been focused on improving my SAT score and haven’t even looked at subject tests yet.

Depends on where you want to apply. I would say take the SAT again first, and then take the SAT Subjects if necessary. Or, take the ACT and submit that, and then take the SAT subject tests opposed to the regular SAT. That is what I’m doing for GTown.
A lot of schools recommend subject tests so take a look at the specific schools and see what they say.
I would take the SAT in October and then Subject tests later in November or December. If you feel good about your October score, then prepare for subject tests in November or December.
Especially for STEM majors, Math 2 subject test and a science subject test related to your major are strongly recommended.
Subject tests are not as important as the SAT so improving your SAT score is more of a priority.
