SAT subject tests and SAT dilemma

Hey, I am currently a junior who will apply to Harvard for Early Action; I just took my first SAT on May 3rd and will be taking another one on June 7th. My school wants all seniors to take SAT I on October, so I cannot take SAT 2s until November. I have not taken any SAT subject test so far, so if I take them for the first time on November, my SAT subject test scores will be delayed... I remember Harvard saying that they accept the testings from November series, (but they also said turn in everything at end of October, though....Sounds like a contradiction to me...) Considering the result of Early action comes out around mid-December, IF I send my SAT 2s in November, will that hurt my chance of getting in? ?????
Thanks!!! I am nervous to death, can someone please help me out? I just want a solid answer.....>.<

First off, may I suggest you speak with your guidance counselor and let your GC know that you will have taken the SAT I twice by the time school starts in the fall. Ask your GC for permission to skip the SAT I in October and instead take two SAT Subject tests instead.

FWIW: Harvard seems to have changed it’s policy about SAT Subject Test scores from years past. They are in the process of updating their website, so I would keep checking back for further details: <a href=“Application Requirements”>https://college.harvard.edu/admissions/application-process/application-requirements</a>

Bottom Line: If you take the SAT Subject Tests in November, it seems like your application will not be adversely impacted.

I understand it’s late to ask this question, but for the benefit of future students: Why in heck didn’t you sign up for SAT IIs in June, rather than taking the SAT I again barely a month after taking it in May? This is a completely avoidable problem, but you have to look ahead and think things through.
