SAT Subject Tests as Practice for AP?

So, I’m an international student (currently a junior) and I want to take another SAT and 3 SAT Subject Tests before the school year ends. I had initially thought of taking the SAT Subject Tests (Chemistry, Literature, French) on June 6 as one usually does. Therefore, I would take the SAT on May 2.

I was a bit reluctant to do what is mentioned above because the week after I’ll have my AP Exams:
AP Spanish Language and Culture (my native language which is why I’m not taking the SAT Subject Test)[Thursday, May 7]
AP Literature [Wednesday, May 6]
AP Chemistry [Monday, May 4]

However, I thought about it and concluded it might be best if I took the SAT Subject Tests on May 2 as “practice” for the AP. Truthfully, I wouldn’t take them as practice, but I would be studying the same topics. I wouldn’t have to study twice! Of course, I would go over some information before the actual AP Exams, but most of it would already be studied.
And, of course, I would take the SAT on June 6.

What do you think? Is it too many tests?

NOTE: The March test date is not available globally (only available in the US). I would just love it if I could take the SAT in March!

That’s a lot of testing in a short period. There’s plenty of overlap between the Lit and Chem AP/SAT2 tests, so you could take them together. SAT2 Chem is a little easier than AP chemistry.

I’d say go for it. Maybe you take French in June? If you feel really well prepared then take it all in May. Some students can handle the load and others can’t - figure out what makes sense for you.

It couldn’t hurt, as long as you take the SATs, decide what you have learned from the experience, and move on. If you dwell on your SAT performance it may affect your attitude about the APs. Under those conditions, it could help you prepare.
